Schematics - The Offgrid Toilet - Wasted*

The Conveyor system has four components.

Hover on each number on the diagram to see each of the four components and how they fit together.

(1) Wasted* Conveyor Toilet

When a person uses the Wasted* conveyor, gravity directs the urine to immediately flow off the front of the conveyor belt. Solid waste lands on the conveyor belt in the ‘toilet bowl.’ The user “flushes” by pressing the mechanical foot pedal to move the conveyor belt. More details here

Key features:

(2) Urine Containment

Urine diverted by the conveyor is funneled via gravity to the determined Ongrid or Offgrid waste infrastructure

Key features

(3) Solid Waste Containment

The solid waste scrapes off the conveyor belt and drops into the determined Ongrid or Offgrid waste infrastructure

Key features

(4) Structure

The Wasted* conveyor is a dynamic toilet fixture that can be integrated into various types of structures, depending on your needs. The idea is to nest together the above components to create a seamless sanitation solution. Users will only see the white toilet seat since the conveyor belt goes through the back wall, where the waste is hidden out-of-sight.
